In Modoc Indian mythology, Isis becomes the son of Kumush, creator, father god figure -- after first being born to Latkakawas, female figure.

Reference:  pp. 4-6, Myths of the Modocs  by Jeremiah Curtin, first published Boston, 1912, reissued 1971 by Benjamin Blom, Inc. New York, N.Y.

I have been a student of Modoc history and culture for over twenty years, and in recent years have studied Egyptian gods/goddesses.  An irresistible tidbit in this regard, is that both the Modocs and the ancient Egyptians shared Isis as one of their dieties.  Another fascination of mine is that the Shasta Indian (neighbors to the Modocs) word for dog is apsoo, similar in nature to the word(s) Lhasa Apso, the royal Tibetan dog considered, according to DNA testing, to be among the fourteen most ancient dog breeds.

Ah, to go back in time to the early migrations from Asia to North America.
